FBTV shines at FSPA
On Saturday FBTV competed in the FSPA regional competition at FIU and did well.
Gabriela Sotomayor won first place in the High School Anchoring competition. Also the FBTV Weekly show won second place in the digital upload contest while Meagan Marin won third place in the Middle School Anchoring contest.

Art Sees no Boundaries Art Competition
This art competition is open to all Miami-Dade County Public Schools students grades 3-12,
through the school’s art teacher. Each art teacher may submit one (1) artwork.
The Art Sees No Boundaries is an art event to showcase the artwork of children and youth
benefit Miami Dade County Public Schools Fine Arts Program.

Hispanic Heritage at Southern Command
Doral Academy Performing Arts Dancers and Chorus had the honor of being invited to perform at the annual Hispanic Heritage Event at Southern Command. Principal Douglas Rodriguez was the keynote speaker and spoke to the legacy of Hispanics in the military and education. The show was attended by high ranking members of the United States Military including two star General Nowland and one star General Montegudo along with other officers and civilian personnel.
