Today in class we began our 1st EOC Review Packet. I expect these packets to be filled with review notes and drawings as we complete them. In total we will complete 6 packets before the EOC & these packets will receive a TEST GRADE once we are done. So please be sure to write as much as possible each class!

More so, we also completed a short segment of  notes on the board today about Chapter 9. All notes will be checked at the end of the quarter as well so be sure not to miss/lose any.

We began working on our Mitosis/Meiosis Flipbook project. Remember to draw each phase, label the structures in each phase and describe what is occurring in each phase. Be detailed.

You were also given a Mitosis vs. Meiosis Worksheet for homework.

As we get closer to our End-Of-Course Exam I would like to ensure that we are as organized as possible in order to make studying easier for testing. I have mentioned in class that we will be having a Binder Check that will be valued as a QUIZ grade. 

You can organize the binder in any way you'd like but these are 3 sections of information I will be looking for:

Bell Ringers / Handouts 
  • Include any USA Test Prep packets, EOC Question packets, Written Questions from the board, any other print outs given in class throughout the school year
Guided Notes
  • All printed notes given throughout the school year, placed in order by chapter

Written Notes
  • All written board notes, labeled drawings, graphic organizers, any written vocabulary
The binder may be shared with multiple classes, just be sure to have clear dividers.

In class today we completed several assignments including the Cell Divison Active Reading Worksheets, we used some technology and completed a Quiziz on Mitosis & we began our Cell Division Homework Worksheet #2, be sure to complete this worksheet as it will be collected next class 3/11/19. Use the worksheet as a study tool as well, REMEMBER YOU HAVE A MITOSIS QUIZ NEXT CLASS 3/11/19 that will be fairly similar to your homework assignment.

For homework you were provided with a guided notes packet, I would like you all to complete your guided notes for slides 1-34. You DON'T have to print the power point, but please fill in the blanks for Thursday 3/7

*HINT* - Study your notes! Be sure to know all phases of Mitosis and the Cell Cycle. Be sure to know the difference between plant and animal cells in Cytokinesis. Be sure to know what cell structures control cell division, and what occurs if there is an error in cell division.
