Mrs. Pilar Ferrer
Mrs. Ferrer's teaching experience includes providing instruction in Spanish for Spanish Speakers levels I through V, Spanish for non-Spanish Speakers I and II, and Spanish AP Language and AP Literature. Mrs. Ferrer earned her AA from MDCC and attended Nova University where she earned a BS in Elementary Education. Additionally, she has completed studies at Florida International University in specialized courses dedicated to Advance Placement Spanish Literature and Advanced Placement Spanish Language. Her training also includes experience within the educational field in CRISS training (Creating Independence Through Students-Owned Strategies), ESOL, and Reading Strategies. She holds a Florida teaching certificate for World Language – Spanish (Grades K – 12).
Mrs. Ferrer is most proud of being part of the faculty at Doral Academy Middle - High School rated “A” by the Florida Department of Education recognized nationally by all of the major publications for their outstanding academic achievement.
She has taught now for seventeen years and enjoys working with motivated, ambitious students. Her passion is that she "enjoys watching students acquire Spanish language proficiency and helping them learn, progress, and succeed in their future”.
