Mrs. Johailen Frometa Kerrick
Mrs. Frometa studied at the University of Florida with a full scholarship and graduated in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in music/piano performance. During her career, she was awarded on numerous occasions including the 2001 annual competition of New World School of the Arts for which she performed the famous Concerto for the piano Rachmaninoff No.2. Soon after Mrs. Frometa had completed her professional studies, she began a part-time job teaching music in a private school. This job, gave her the opportunity to discover a new passion in her life, ‘teaching’. She strongly believes that all children need a musical education, as it is crucial for their academic and personal growth. Mrs. Frometa is not only an educator, but she also performs as a classical pianist. and accompanist. Mrs. Frometa has been teaching Chorus and Keyboard at Doral Academy Preparatory School since 2008. She feels honored to be part of such a remarkable institution, and she hopes to continue cultivating the musical passion of her students.
