Mr. Michael Hunter
Before coming to Doral Academy as a Mathematics and Physics teacher, Mr. Hunter spent six years teaching in the Miami-Dade County Public School system, and over 25 years as an IT professional.  Mr. Hunter's resume includes
  • Marketing Director of MITS, the company that designed and produced the world's first personal computer, the Altair 8800
  • Vice President of FDP, actuarial systems consultant to MONY, John Hancock, New York Life, and other insurance companies
  • Administrative Director of the South Florida American Red Cross Blood Services
  • IT Director of The Graham Companies, the developers of Miami Lakes.
Mr. Hunter's hobbies and interests include Opera, Broadway Musicals, the essays of G. K. Chesterton, the fantasy novels of Tom Holt, the life of T. R. Roosevelt, the performances conducted by Arturo Toscanini and Wilhelm Furtwangler, the performance history of Brahm's Fourth Symphony and Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen, and education pedagogy in Math and Physics.
