Mr. Jose J. Pita-Vazquez
    Mr. Pita has been in the field of education for 5 years. He holds a Masters Degree in Fine arts with a concentration in Visual Arts from Miami International University of Art and Design. Before becoming an art teacher, Mr. Pita was a full time artist at his studio located at the Bakehouse Art Complex in Wynwood Miami.    

    Before joining Doral Academy, he was a faculty member at ASPIRA Arts DECO Charter School, where he taught 6-8th Grades Art. During his tenure with ASPIRA, Mr. Pita created their first Art Department. He exposed his students to many of the art media such as painting, ceramics, crafts and digital arts. His students won may honorable mentions at the Miami Dade Public Schools art exhibition and the Ocean Bank Student Art Exhibition 2016 and 2017. He is also an Art Appreciation adjunct professor at the Miami Dade College.  

     Mr. Pita, aside from being a professional educator, is also an active artist from the Miami art community. He keeps his art studio open to the public and had participated in many active art exhibitions throughout his career.    As a teacher from Doral Academy, Mr. Pita hopes to inspire his students in the love for the arts as a way of inspiration to the youth and to pursue their future careers as creative people. Mr. Pita is currently certified by the Florida Department of Education in the area of Art K-12.
