Mrs. Jennifer Rizo
Jennifer Rizo is in her seventh year at Doral Academy as a member of the Performing Arts department and teaches Middle and High School Photography, Middle and High School Digital Art and Design. Mrs. Rizo has selected and has submitted many of her Middle School and High School students works to several competitions.
Over the last six years we have had several finalist in various competitions and top placed winners. Competitions such as the Zoolens, Beaux Student Art Show Case, Youth Fair. In 2014 several of the students won 1st prize with different photographs in the Junior Orange Bowl Competition. In 2013 students were also entered in the annual Congressional Art Competition which allows high school students from across the country to compete with their peers for the chance to have their works of art displayed in in the U.S. Capital complex.
She was also a teacher at St. Brendan High School for nine years. During this time, she taught courses in Computer Graphic Design, Three Dimensional Art, Fabric and Fibers, Speech, Web Design and Computer 1. In her years at St. Brendan she directed students in the design of a student agenda for each school year to be then printed and distributed for the entire student body. Her students under her direction worked on a website for the Fairchild Challenge competition and were awarded first place for this entry in 2007. During her years at St. Brendan she completed many promotional projects for various school activities and events including the school graduation program.
Jennifer Rizo has an Art K-12 professional teaching certificate. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Fine Arts with a major in graphic design from the Florida Atlantic University. She has over 18 years specializing in graphic design and has worked for FIU and Brite Impressions,Inc. She freelances for companies in Fashion, Beauty, Restaurants, Construction, Building, Retail, Healthcare, Advertising, Entertainment and Education.
