Guy Manning graduated from the University of Miami Frost School of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tuba Performance, and more recently from the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music with a Master’s Degree in Tuba performance. During his master’s degree, he was a Teaching Assistant and a member of the Fred Fox Graduate Brass quintet, a fellowship ensemble. Prior to his studies at university, he attended New World School of the Arts. During his secondary education he enjoyed competing in numerous math and music competitions. He has individually tutored mathematics since 2008 and music theory since 2011. His approach to developing knowledge and skills for his students and himself is focused on comprehensive fundamentals and exhaustively justified and generalized principles.
